The Arcadia Mir wikia site was created in 2012 as a means to reference game information
When EuroMir was first brought online, new players had a manual to refer to. Failing that, they would have to browse through forums and ask other players in the hope of getting an answer to their question. Fast forward to 2013, Mir Arcadia is brought online, but with no manual, players are left asking others in the hope of getting information they need.
With Mir Arcadia technically still in its beta stages, there is very little official information to help players find quests, items, monsters and areas.
The aim of the Arcadia Mir Wikia is to provide a place to store information about Mir Arcadia which players can add to, refer to and edit in order to keep articles up to date and accurate.
The website was initially designed to be an encyclopaedia for the predecessor to Mir Arcadia, Project 69. However when Mir Arcadia was released to its beta stage in March 2013, Arcadia Mir Wikia changed to focus on the new game.
Inspiration came when founder, Saldejums (Amroth from Euro Mir), and friend Titanuk (IANWARLORD from Euro Mir) were conversing on what gear we needed. As Mir Arcadia has changed so drastically from Euro Mir, neither of us were really sure. After browsing the old www.TheLegendOfMir.com website, we came to the conclusion that the data was out of date. We then resorted to examining other players inventory screens to find new gear and checking forum posts in the hope that we could discover where they dropped from.
Eventually we both began to start making notes on what we wanted and where we could obtain them. In addition we started to note how to complete certain quests.
FFXIclopedia.org is a wiki page for Final Fantasy XI which contained vast amounts of information which was very popular among its community. It had up to date quest, armour, monster, area and drop information. All of the data on that website was managed by its player base. After recalling how useful FFXIclopedia was for all players of FFXI, I decided to make an Arcadia equivalent in the hopes of making something similar.
A lot of the quest guides were originally written by users from the official forums. I'd like to send a huge thank you to
